AWS Flash Animation Design
  • Flash animations in small areas of a website or as the website itself
  • Helpful tutorials guiding users through your services
  • Fun, interactive content based on your products or web content
Flash is incredibly popular today, and it is estimated that over 80% of web users have it installed, so it is fairly universal. AWS can help your business or organization by developing Flash content that makes it incredibly easy for users to understand and use your services. Google uses it to describe its AdWords procedures, and so does Yahoo! Search Marketing. Flash, when used well, is a versatile and powerful tool to make your website what users need.

Specifics on Flash

Integrated into the browser Flash is integrated into a user's browser, so it's not natively part of it, but once installed it acts seamlessly to show Flash content. Many browsers come pre-packaged with Flash, but you will want to make sure you always have the current version installed.

Note: With the release of Service Pack 2, Microsoft made some changes to Internet Explorer. One of these was to block Flash content by default, and ask the user if he wants to allow it to be shown. Usually there is no threat in showing Flash content, and you can have Internet Explorer discontinue these messages. AWS recommends using Firefox, which does not block Flash content but does block popups and stops other harmful agents from entering your computer.
Flash files are created with Flash MX Ever wondered how to create a Flash file? You can do so if you have Macromedia Flash MX 2004, which as of this writing is the latest release of Flash. Original flash files have the *.fla extension before they are compressed into *.swf files, which are what you see on the Web. They are much smaller, so that download time for the viewer is reduced.
Can be integrated with databases or used for ads Flash has many, many uses. One of its more popular uses these days is for banner ads. In fact, they are starting to replace animated GIF files as the preferred banner ad medium. You have probably seen them on Yahoo! pages before. Flash can also be integrated with a database, giving robust, user-tailored content that's unique and powerful.
